PuppetSoup director Fagner Gastaldon is currently touring performing as the lead puppeteer in ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ a production by Touched Theatre performing in Little Angel Theatre in London.
Fagner is manipulating the dog puppet, ‘Marty’ which plays alongside the father character played by Touched Theatre’s award winning puppetry Director Darren East.
Twinkle Twinkle is a beautiful adventure in music and light, featuring brilliant puppetry, magical interaction and a gorgeous original score. Join Marty on his journey to find the brightest light in the sky, and inside all of us.
Here’s what they said about working with Fagner:
We are delighted to announce that Fagner Gastaldon will be joining us on stage as our second performer for Twinkle Twinkle. Fagner is a multi award-winning puppeteer and co-founder of Puppetsoup in Wales, with whom he has created the 5***** show ‘Land of the Dragon – Gwlad y ddraig’, ‘The Memory Keeper’ for the RSPB, ‘Fix Freddie!’ for the NHS, ‘Jack’ and, currently, ‘Arthur the Bear King’ for tour in 2017. Fagner began clowning and puppeteering for children in hospitals in Brazil whilst studying a degree in psychology and this inspired him to pursue his passion for puppets full time.
For us at Touched, we really wanted to create an early years show that placed two men, rarely seen in work for these audiences, at the heart of our story. Fagner’s brilliance in puppetry and background working sensitively with young children will bring a new dimension to the puppetry, playfulness and heart of Twinkle Twinkle – we can’t wait to begin our work together.
