We teach every week in schools and also offer fun online classes to primary schools.

We are experienced at working with different age groups and a whole range of abilities and disabilities.
Both Directors of PuppetSoup have over 15 years of experience teaching and performing puppetry and both hold Honours degrees specifically in Puppetry from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Our workshops can be tailored to fit in with your curriculum so let us know what your students are learning about at the moment and we will ensure the workshop meets your learning outcomes! Our workshops also make a great end of term activity for your school as they are fun, memorable and educational.
PuppetSoup can provide all the materials required for making puppets and our courses and workshops can range from an hour to a whole day. We can even offer weekly classes through a whole term or longer if your school would like a long term partnership or project..

A few of the workshops we could provide to your primary school include:
Puppet Playtime – For younger puppet enthusiasts – we bring the puppets, they play! Ages 3 – 6yrs

Shadow Puppetry – Make, play and perform beautiful shadow puppets at your school.
Suitable for all ages. This course can also be delivered online.

Meet the puppets – We bring professional puppets from our five star shows for young people to meet and to learn about puppet making, design and construction.
For ages 8 – 11yrs

Make your own puppet theatre box – A creative whole day workshop making a miniature puppet theatre and puppets out of recycled materials. This course can also be delivered online. 8 – 11yrs

Puppet Making from Recycled Materials - Children learn to reuse their recycled materials to make fantastic puppets and help the environment. This course can also be delivered online. 5 - 11yrs

Play in a day - A very special whole day workshop where PuppetSoup works with your class to make a range of puppets and then perform a puppetry play at the end of the day.

Online classes with pre-made puppet making packs sent to your school
PuppetSoup are experienced online teachers, ensuring that young people stay engaged through an exciting and fun filled online puppet making workshop. Every child receives a hand made puppet making pack from PuppetSoup (sent to your school in advance of the course) and then the children are taken through designing, assembling and decorating their puppet. For ages 5 - 11yrs.
